Review highlights

Based on 595 reviews

Mitsui Cuisine Mingshui 2 is consistently praised for its exceptionally fresh and high-quality seafood, particularly the sashimi and sushi offerings, which are often described as some of the best in Taipei. Guests appreciate the reasonable pricing relative to the premium ingredients and portion sizes, making it a popular choice for both lunch and dinner. The restaurant’s cozy and well-designed ambiance, with well-spaced seating, contributes positively to the dining experience. However, a recurring theme in feedback is the inconsistent attentiveness of the service staff, with several patrons noting delays and lack of prompt attention. Despite this, the overall consensus highlights Mitsui Cuisine Mingshui 2 as a top destination for authentic Japanese cuisine in the city.

Pros: The seafood is fresh and the ingredients are high-quality. The price is quite reasonable for such a high-quality meal. The environment is pleasant, with the tables spaced just right so you're not too close to others. The decor and atmosphere are wonderful. Cons: The wait staff could be more attentive to guests' needs. A very good dining experience, I would definitely go back.

It's been a while since I've been here Still as delicious Especially the duck liver rice bowl Great! Great! Great! Lunch was a fantastic value for money! Delicious and filling I enjoyed the meal and the restaurant was cozy. Unfortunately...the last latte...coffee with milk...and the waiter's attitude...haha

Food was delicious as ever with super fresh seafood but frankly service was not quite attentive enough. After more than 20 minutes disappearance. I had to go out to flag down the wait staff to order more drinks. Not cool.

Stable and high-quality Japanese cuisine. Mingshui Mitsui has two branches, the first branch and the second branch. They are basically the same restaurant. If you wait for a table at the first branch, you will sometimes be taken to the second branch, which is just next door. There is a small supermarket-like area on the first floor of the first branch, where you can buy various ingredients, bento or cooked food related to Japanese cuisine. It is quite nice to visit, but it is much smaller than Shangyin Aquaculture, which is also opened by Mitsui. The evening set meal is 18003500 per person. Different prices have different good tastes, and the quality will not be reduced because of the cheapness. The dining environment is very comfortable, clean and elegant (suitable for entertaining guests). There are general seats, bar counters, and private rooms. Although it is mid-to-high-priced, the C/P value is definitely high. The portion of the set meal is very large. I suggest that if a group of people go, it is best for half of the people to order the set meal, and everyone can share it, and order some main dishes or side dishes separately. (And every time I go there, for example, if six people order a three-course meal, they still give six desserts.) In addition, the contents of the set meal can be communicated with the waiter, and there is a lot of freedom, so it can be adjusted when multiple people share. The single-course or set meal is also very exquisite and reasonably priced. It is a good restaurant that can always be trusted.

The boss treated me to dinner Today we had the 1500 off-menu lunch! After the abalone salad, the sashimi arrived and I was completely stuffed. The sashimi portion was huge! We also had the salt-grilled prawns and the seared flounder. The seared flounder fin and rib nigiri are my favorites. Personally, I prefer my steak a little raw! But since we were a lot of people that day, we might have made some adjustments.

The second building is right next to the main building (?), and the atmosphere and service are still excellent. Mitsui's reservations are handled by the switchboard, which then helps you book a table in each building. She told me that the second building only had the balcony area. I asked, "Does that mean outdoor?" She said no, it's indoors. When I got there, I realized it was indeed outdoor... just covered by a tent, so it was actually semi-outdoor... But the weather was perfect that day, so I was even more happy to be able to cool down without the AC. As always, I ordered beef shabu-shabu, which is currently our family's favorite. A serving for two costs 1080. The short ribs were incredibly tender, beautiful, and delicious. The shabu-shabu broth is clear, and the vegetables are incredibly refreshing and sweet! I also ordered the grilled red throat this time. I saw it at another table and thought it looked delicious, so I was tempted. It was indeed grilled, with crispy skin and tender meat. The only downside was that they seemed to have too much salt. The meal ended with hot tea, dessert, and fruit. For dessert, you could choose between ice cream and red bean soup. I think the ice cream was like Hagen's (random guess), and it was delicious. I recommend ordering something different, like mixing it with matcha ice cream and red bean soup. It was delicious. The fruit was also amazing; everything was always so sweet! The only downside to Mitsui is that they only give one menu each time, and there are four of us! Also, the balcony area at Mingshui No. 2 is incredibly dim! The menu has to be placed under the center light to be visible (Sorry, this is the Meisui Mitsui , not the second museum ) Compared to the Dunnan Museum of Art, the service here is better, and they offer water. The air conditioning isn't as cold as in the basement The atmosphere is great, perfect for dates or holidays. While the prices are high, there are still mid-range options, and the menu seems quite diverse. The eel rice, both the fish and the pickled radish, were amazing. The fish was thick and tender, not salty or greasy, and the pickled radish was so good I ordered a second helping! The thinly sliced jalapeno was delicious paired with a refreshing sweet and sour sauce, I'm tempted to order another! The grilled prawns, grilled lamb chops, and salt-grilled fish in the set were all excellent The desserts, each person received, were also delicious. I was so happy to have a new sake ice cream flavor It wasn't too alcoholic or milky, just the right sweetness.
